Well, I admit… I was attracted to this game because of the name… I know it comes as a big surprise to all of you that I fancy myself a princess, but hey a girl’s got to have a healthy dose of self confidence. Ok so mine might be a little extreme. Anyhow, on to the game!
This game is one of those addicting time management games where you have to beat the clock or you don’t get the bonus. In this case, the bonus is an addition to my lovely castle. So of course, if I didn’t beat the time, I had to start over because I was not missing out on a chance to add turrets and walls to my castle. LOL.
So, the story is that a terrible tornado has ravaged the land and awakened the terrible fire-breathing dragon that apparently won’t go back to sleep until he’s eaten 37 people… I have no idea where that random number came from but I swear I didn’t make it up!
Now, as the princess, you have to get back to your father who is sick, but the tornado has damaged the roads and the countryside is a disaster, so you have to travel through the land and fix everything… and when I say you, I mean the peasants you command of course!
They fix roads, buildings, bridges, etc. so you can get home and do your charity work at the same time. You have to gather resources like wood and food for your people and make repairs to buildings you find along the way. Overall, this was a pretty fun game. I would have to say the only disappointing part of it was that you couldn’t queue up your tasks like you can in most time management games. So you had to pay close attention to when your peasants stopped working.
Hmmmm if only I had a real castle and peasants… but summer vacation is almost over so reality is going to hit me hard if I keep daydreaming the way I do!
