I’m not one for complaining that much…. But someone has to answer for what’s going on in the fridge right now. There’s something in there that smells awful. I’m not talking leftover fish smell. I’m talking something crawled in there and died smell. I’m pretty sure it’s Zavy’s, because I don’t think the girls would have done that... but no one wants to dig in the shelves and fish it out.
So… I’m hiding in my room right now with an air freshener clipped to my fan, and, since I’m sitting here, I figured I would do something constructive and put together a guide. I chose Haunted Manor: Queen of Death, and I was actually pretty happy with my choice.
The premise of Haunted Manor: Queen of Death is that you are a young girl who learns that her entire family has been murdered, except for her sister, who has been possessed by an ancient evil. Some curse has been released on the family by means of an ancient amulet. It’s your job to collect ingredients that will break the curse, destroy the amulet, save your sister, and release your family’s souls.
The setting is pretty creepy. You walk around an old, creaking mansion being stalked the whole time by a monster that kills people and then runs away. A little unnerving to say the least. The hidden object games were good, but they did repeat a lot and the objects were in the same place, so they weren’t as challenging as I might like. The puzzles ranged in difficulty. Some were extremely simple… while others were extremely involved and complicated, and might require a skip button here and there.
Overall, the game was kind of creepy and probably a bit more to Lucy’s liking than mine… but I have to say it was pretty fun to play and a nice excuse to stay away from whatever is stinking up the fridge right now…
