Thanksgiving… I’m counting the days until I can finally board that plane and come home to my mother’s home-cooked meals. I’m dreaming of roast turkey, sausage stuffing, and sweet potato pie. My mouth is watering right now I’m so hungry… and all I have is a bag of ramen that I’m eating raw. Ummmm tasty.
Anyhow, I stayed up half the night finishing up a paper so I decided to treat myself today by playing Delicious Emily’s Taste of Fame… wonder why that caught my eye… lol. Anyhow for all your gamers who enjoy a good time management game, this is worth your time. But don’t even bother with the beginner level. It was way too easy. The good news is that you can change your settings as you play so I quickly moved it up to normal once I figured out what I was supposed to do.
Emily is the main character and she is going to be on her very own cooking show… however, while she was driving out to the studio, her car crashed and now she has no money to tow it. Lucky for her there is a diner down the street with a nice old lady who offers her a job. Emily’s traveling partner and friend Francois doesn’t seem too concerned, however, as he is never around to help in the kitchen. All he does is use his artistic style to decorate the old place.
So here you are, in the kitchen of a real diner, and working to get from one place to another. The first 10 days you spend at the diner, and each day offers a new challenge. Not only do you run around cooking and waiting on tables, but you also take care of phone orders, drive thru orders, and counter orders. Each table has to be cleaned and the money collected. There’s quite a selection of food to serve too, so that can be exciting when you’re trying to fill all the orders. Some days too there are extra challenges, such as when a woman breaks her pearl necklace and needs you to find all the pearls as you work. There’s also a mouse that lives in the diner and if you catch him, you get an extra 100 points added to your total.
So far it’s pretty entertaining and much better than doing homework. Just a few more weeks and I’m home for a nice relaxing time on the farm with the family. Ok well… I don’t expect it to be that relaxing since my family is pretty crazy… but well whose family isn’t, right? Until next time!
