OK… maybe I found this game challenging because I’m an Italian from Jersey trying to make sushi… I don’t know. We don’t grow anything on our farm like the ingredients I was playing with in Youda Sushi Chef. Lol. Where were the cheese and the tomatoes man?
Anyhow, this game is really all about memorization so maybe that was my downfall. Here’s the rundown. You are a sushi chef and you opened a new restaurant… which you get to name by the way… I thought that was pretty cool. I called mine Mama Morgan’s… again not appropriate for sushi. Oh well… So you have this recipe book that tells you how to make each different kind of sushi roll, and with every new stage, you get a new roll to make… and some of these rolls have 8 or 9 ingredients! You can always go back and check the recipe in the book, but that wastes valuable time, so the key is to really try to memorize what goes in each sushi roll.
My favorite part of this game was that when you put the wrong ingredients together, you made a beautiful brown lump with eyes and buck teeth. I can’t tell you how many lumps were rotating around on my conveyor belt when I first started playing. And, in the beginning stages, you can’t get rid of them! So I just kept looking at these little brown lumps laughing at me as they went by!
You also have a limited amount of ingredients to work with. As you start to gain money, and you use up all your ingredients making sushi rolls or little brown lumps, you have to use the phone and order more ingredients. In the beginning, you can only order one ingredient at a time. I suggest upgrading to a digital phone right away. This lets you order three at a time! Unfortunately, the more mistakes you make, you more ingredients you waste, so you have to be very careful that you get the sushi rolls right the first time! No lumps!
Overall, this game was good fun, and I gave my brain a great workout! Give it a try and let me know how many lumps you made your first time playing!
