New Collector's Edition Released - Vampire Legends: The True Story of Kisilova
A collector's edition for a brand new series has arrived today at Big Fish Games, Vampire Legends: The True Story of Kisilova. Based on a true story of one of the earliest documented cases of vampire hysteria, it appears this title has some staying power.
I know... when a saw another vampire game had come through the ranks, and a collector's edition no less, I stifled a weary groan. But surely, as a collector's edition, Vampire Legends: The True Story of Kisilova has got to better then the last vampire game I played. Because I can not take another sappy love story that makes no sense whatsoever... I just can't.
I admit, the story in this game is intriguing... the fact that it's supposedly based on a true story piques my interest since I'm a nerd for folklore and urban legends. And while vampires have been so overdone of late, one of my favorite books, The Historian, is based on the legend of Dracula. So if Vampire Legends: The True Story of Kisilova can capture even a glimmer of that type of story, than it might just be worth taking a look at.
So far, it's received a warm welcome with the Big Fish Community, with 88% of players saying they would recommend it and it's holding tight to a 4 Star Rating. "A must buy" and "Awesome game" have been just some of the high praise it's received.
On the opposite spectrum, a few have said the game is "Overcrowded with people and a lot of talk" and that "I just don't see the level of gameplay to qualify it as a CE."
Overall though, most of the reviews from players have been pretty positive, so I just might have to give vampires another chance... but seriously, if this game is terrible... I'm not going to be happy.
