Behind the Reflection 2: Witch's Revenge Sneak Peek
OK, so I’m really starting to freak out, and I’m trying not to have a nervous breakdown. It’s about 3 months now until graduation. And, I have absolutely NO idea what I’m going to do with my life!!! Every time I start thinking about it, I have this panic attack where I can’t breathe, and I just want to throw myself on my bed and cry.
I mean, I’ll have an English degree, so I can do a lot with that right? Except I don’t want to teach… so… help??? Most of the people I’m graduating with are either going on to law school (ewwwww) or graduate school… I’ve thought about that… but I’m not sure if that’s going to help… ok enough! I need a distraction… good thing I have this sneak preview of Behind the Reflection 2: Witch’s Revenge from Alawar games to occupy my mind…

I admit I’ve never played the first Behind the Reflection game so I wasn’t sure exactly what was going on when I first started the game. I only knew that the main character was having some sort of nightmare and went in to check on her son, and he was whisked away into the mirror right in front of my eyes! How horrible! Actually it was kind of funny because he really did fly right into the mirror Peter Pan style…
Anyhow… the first section starts with you having to find the pieces of this very creepy doll… it has teeth… dolls should not have teeth. It was way weird. So you have to go around the house and find pieces of the doll in order to rescue your son. Obviously, it’s not going to work because I found all the pieces pretty quickly.

The hidden object scenes were pretty as far as the art goes. Some of the items were hard to find though… for instance, I couldn’t for the life of me find a stamp in this scene… I had to use the hint button on the very first hidden object scene, which annoyed me… but at least it’s there to avoid me having to throw the computer out the window. Not that I’ve ever done that… but I’ve thought about it.

Once you find all the pieces of the doll, which I did in the first 10 minutes or so, you then have to find 4 elements of nature, so again you go around the house and solve puzzles and hidden object scenes in order to find each item that represents an element.

The game pretty much goes on from there. Each section requires you to find pieces of an object. To find those objects, you have to run around solving some pretty fun puzzles and some challenging hidden object scenes, all aimed at saving your son from the evil witch.
Here’s a montage of just a few of the puzzles and hidden object scenes I played through so you can see what the gameplay looks like.
Overall, Behind the Reflection 2: Witch's Revenge was a nice distraction from my very pressing problems of late… and did I mention that on top of all this… Valentine’s Day is almost here… AND I don’t have a date… sigh… I think it’s time for some ice cream.
